Hound Area and Hound Parade

This year we are pleased to be welcoming the Hursley Hambledon, Hampshire Hounds and also the Palmer Marlborough Beagles to our show.  The Hursley Hambledon will be demonstrating Trail laying in the arena – don’t miss this display.  There will be static displays and members of each hunt on hand who will be more than happy to answer any questions you have throughout the day.

The Palmer, Marlborough & Clinkard Meon Beagles

Beagling is an ancient sport based on hounds following the scent of a hare; we now mimic the hare using an aniseed trail or we go rabbiting. The Palmer Marlborough Clinkard Meon Valley Beagles are kennelled locally and hunt throughout Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire. We are hosted by generous farmers, landowners and gamekeepers who welcome us into some of the most beautiful areas of countryside. Beagling suits every age group as we hunt on foot and stay in one area, so you can run with the hounds or stand on a hill to watch and listen. Dress for the weather and come and join in the fun; beagles are friendly and energetic, as puppies they spend their early months staying with families being educated then return to kennels to become part of the pack.
